The 4th Annual Halo House Gala: Building the Halo House

In 2013, I served as the proud chair for the First Annual Beat Leukemia Concert for a Cure, which raised over $125,000 for Leukemia Texas. During that experience, I was fortunate to meet an array of amazing people from various ages and backgrounds who were either battling the blood cancer, had lost a family member to the terminal illness or were grateful survivors. It was truly an eye-opening experience to the many struggles and life changes that these families endure including financial hardships resulting from overwhelming medical expenses. Recently, I was overcome with joy upon learning of a Houston nonprofit organization also working diligently to assist families battling Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma.

The Halo House Foundation provides fully furnished low cost housing to families who travel from all over the world to receive treatment at the Texas Medical Center. This truly provides a ray of light and gladness for those who are often battling an abundance of pain and sadness during this challenging time. To continue this mission of making a difference, the organization is hosting The 4th Annual Halo House Gala: Building the Halo House at the Bayou Center Event Center on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. This highly anticipated formal affair will include a swanky cocktail reception, a decadent dinner and awe-inspiring entertainment by the very special Cirque Imagination.  This is the perfect opportunity to have a great time, while supporting a worthy cause. The $200 tickets are still available and can be purchased at http://www.halohousefoundation.org.
