Houston Texan JJ Watt recently teamed up with Reebok for #TurnUp4WATT to surprise fans in the LA-area, turning up at various locations to give away sneakers, take photos, and provide athletes with an opportunity of a lifetime.
REEBOK AT CITADEL OUTLETS
During his first stop of the tour in a PUMP-branded truck, JJ arrived at the Reebok store at Citadel Outlets to provide lucky consumers with free ZPump Fusion running sneakers, while also taking photos with a growing line of Watt-followers outside the store.
FINISH LINE AT DEL AMO FASHION CENTER
On his way to the ultimate surprise of the day, JJ made a quick pitstop at the Finish Line at Del Amo Fashion Center after Reebok gave him full range of the Corporate credit card. At the Finish Line, he immediately entered into the store asking store associates to give him all the ZPumps they had, as he was on his way to surprise LA-based Nathaniel Narbonne High School Football Team with some brand new kicks to train in ahead of the season. Handing over the credit card, JJ then grabbed handfuls of bags (with additional help) to surprise the local team.
NATHANIEL NARBONNE HIGH SCHOOL – NARBONNE GAUCHOS FOOTBALL
Secretly organized with Head Coach, Manuel Douglas, JJ then headed to Narbonne High School to provide the football team with the ultimate surprise.
During stretches, JJ entered into the lines formed by the 2014 LA City Champions while Coach Douglas exclaimed, “Hey guys, we got a transfer in…” After the surprise settled in and stretching exercises with the team, JJ took the players into the weight room to give them some advice on the season, their road to greatness, and how to motivate yourself to become the best you can be.
Each player and member of the coaching staff was then gifted a “Hunt Greatness” t-shirt to remind them of the message he gave them as well as brand new Reebok ZPump running sneakers in order to provide them with the best gear to train in ahead of the season.
