Dallas Arboretum’s Cool Thursdays Fall Concert Series Kicks Off Labor Day Weekend Thursday with Paisley Craze, 60’s Music Anthology Band

The premier concert series “Cool Thursdays Concert Series” at the Dallas Arboretum, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, returns Thursday, September 1 for its fall series with Paisley Craze, 60’s Music Anthology Band. Kick off your Labor Day weekend with  $8 discounted concert tickets, thanks to a generous sponsor. This offer is only valid until midnight of August 31.  Missy Whisler, Dallas Arboretum’s senior vice president of sales and development, said, “The fall subscriptions for this season have already sold out, and single tickets are selling fast as the weather is beginning to cool down. We are also offering $5 admission Friday, September 2 – Monday, September 5, which includes complimentary admission to the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden to celebrate Labor Day weekend.”

The 60s was a fantastic time for music with so many amazing influential artists that have become legends, just getting their start. Rock ‘n Roll was in its infancy and bands like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones made a huge impact on the scene, but there were so many other great artists and bands that cover many 60s artists, as well as amazing tribute shows that look and sound just like the real thing did. The music is timeless, family-friendly for any kind of event, and songs from the 60s have been covered so many times even kids these days know the words.

In addition to the coolest view of White Rock Lake, attendees can bring picnics and beverages or purchase food items from food trucks including Azucar, Easy Sliders and The Pie Hole. The gardens are also open to stroll through before the concert to enjoy the breathtaking fall displays beginning September 17 including the nationally acclaimed pumpkin village, named one of “America’s Best Pumpkin Festivals,” according to Fodor’s Travel.

The concert series continues through October 27. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the fall concerts begin at 7 p.m.
